Tutorial Animation
The animation above was created by following the solar systems tutorial in Introducing Autodesk Maya 2016. The only changes from the tutorial that I made was adding a background.

Change #1
For my first change, I added textures from https://www.solarsystemscope.com/textures/ to all my planets and the sun. This made the whole solar system look a lot nicer than the previous plain colors.
Change #2
My second change was to have the sun shrink and then expand. I did this to simulate the heat death of the solar system and to add some extra action to the base animation. I used it as a way to explain my last change.
Change #3
My last change was adding a motion path for Earth to follow instead of orbiting the sun. I tried to add a bit of character to Earth through its running away from the expanding sun.
